I'm sitting quiet now, in the glow of that
spellbound sight
and I'm soaking in the glaze as these minutes
of sheer delight are spreading, running in red,
till the dying fire's fed n the slick of the dark
melts thru to the sun's setting display,
till it takes all the day
n it shapes n it swallows n follows me, somewhere
always new...

...this nights but a glance of a fierce n caring love,
like firming hands that grip in a pattern so harsh,
so rough...like a constant of strength that will not
relent, ever telling me that I am here,
reeling under this seal, this vast n warm fear
of the nightfall, so deep n so dear...

n I watch as the dark carries its spark, lighting the glow of sight n I wait for the day to light up its flame, raising
my spirits high-

as there are two sides of each saying
as there is change between day and night to stabilise
the scale, so there's balance to a life, likewise...
after laughter there's pain, n then laughter again,
till a sadness returns to you, in a constant of change,
in a rhythm that wakes n it animates you, gladden you...
as quiet preludes a storm n the storm brings the quiet
once more, so gladness truns to tears, then to
gladness, then to fears that soar...n to accept it as so
is a hard task n I know, but its all aI aspire to-
to be still, to be calm...in the midst of alarm, yet to
not be a passive fool...
